By Car :

We have private parking for some cars. Please contact us directly in order to reserve one of these places for your stay.

From London

Follow the M3 westwards, then join the A303 to Wincanton. Turn left onto the B3081, then turn right towards Bruton.

From Bristol

Follow the A37 southwards, which becomes the A371 after Shepton Mallet. Turn left at Wyke Road towards Bruton.

From Exeter

Follow the A30 eastbound, which becomes the A303. Then take the A359 towards Bruton.

By Train :

We would be happy to organise a pick up and drop off service from the train station – please contact us directly if you would like us to organise this for you.

From London

GWR services from London Paddington to Castle Cary. GWR services from Castle Cary to Bruton.

From Bristol

GWR services from Bristol Temple Meads direct to Bruton.

From Exeter

GWR services from Exeter St David’s to Castle Cary. GWR services from Castle Cary to Bruton.

Check-in is after 4:00pm.
Check-out is at 11:00am.

You are welcome to leave your bags with us at any time.

Breakfast for guests is served daily between 8:00 – 10:00am.

 

Osip

During lunch and dinner service the restaurant is open to the general public. Hotel guests are required to reserve a table well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Reception

Our reception is open 24 hours per day. Doors are locked during the hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am but access can be gained by using the code provided.

Accessibility

Due to the original layout and design of our property, we are unfortunately unable to offer easy access for guests with mobility issues.

We invite our guests to discuss their needs in advance of their booking in order to give us the possibility to assist where possible and establish whether our property will be suitable.

    Terms & conditions

    Online bookings

    Full payment for the bedroom will be taken within the cancellation policy – seven days before arrival . All extras will need to be settled on departure.

    Cancellation policy

    We are fully sympathetic to plans changing – once a booking is confirmed it is subject to the following cancellation policy: reservations can be cancelled or changed up to seven days prior to arrival. No-shows, cancellations or changes made after this time will result in a charge for the entire stay to the card provided.

    Lost property

    If you leave anything precious behind we will be delighted to post it to you but we will charge you for the postage and packaging. If you do not claim any forgotten items after 6 weeks then we will give it to charity or dispose of it accordingly. Number One Bruton is not liable for any lost property.

    Damages

    Guests are fully liable for any damages and theft during their stay and will be charged in full to cover any costs occurred.

    Number One Bruton is a no smoking hotel. If you are found smoking anywhere within the building then we will levy a £100.00 penalty on to the card used at time of booking.

    Our keys are made especially for our hotel and the fobs are handmade for us by Bill Amberg. If you lose your keys or take them home and do not return them you will be charged £75.00. You can buy them from reception if they take your fancy!

    Dog policy

    Some of the rooms at Number One Bruton are dog friendly. To keep all of our guests and dogs happy, the following guidelines have been put in place:

    • Pets are not allowed in to Number One Bruton’s restaurant – Osip
    • Pets should always be kept on a lead or in a carrier in public areas
    • Pets must be supervised at all times
    • Parents should pick up any ‘deposits’ left by their pets
    • Please make every effort to keep your pets from barking indoors
    • Guide dogs are, of course, welcome throughout the hotel
    • We will supply your dog with a bed and bowls
    • If your dog is responsible for any damage within the hotel then you will be charged for repair/damage
